Makna and Jarba - which?

[edit]

Makna and Jarba - are these Makna, Saudi Arabia and Jarba meant? The latter seemingly not: "El-Adhruh and Jarba now lie in ruins between Shoubak and Ma'in", so a Jarba in Jordan, not in Palestine. But where? Arminden (talk) 08:48, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jarba is located 5 km north of Udruh. In Ben-Zvi's time it was a ruin, but today is populated Rajoub570 (talk) 07:32, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

POV and primary tags

[edit]

I haven't read the entire article yet, but there is clear reliance on primary and controversial information among scholars for the central claims in this article.

Frederick Peake is a British general and holds zero qualifications for the controversial theory of Jewish origin of the Bedoul to be attributed to him, not to mention it is a primary source dating to a century ago.

This is also cited to some Zionist historian Yitzhak Ben-Zvi's work in 1967, whose movement has sought to put forward such misleading claims. [1] Makeandtoss (talk) 11:20, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
