Article review
[edit]Hi @Balance person: Looking at the article:
- The references need work. For example:
- The website property is for the name of the website, not the URL. For example on the reference, you have given the website name as impact.ref.ac.uk when its actually REF 2014. The title is also wrong. You have put "REF Case study search" which is generic. The title is the title of the document: "Normal childbirth: Leading international debate, evidence and action". Please update.
- The Daily mail is non-RS. Its an unreliable source. Remove it.
- Ref 18 is damaged.
- Ref 23 is broken. It should be a cite journal entry.
- Ref 18 is broken
- Ref 11 should probably be in external links as she is an academic. Try and not use social in these types of articles.
- Ref 12 should be a cite journal.
- Ref 28 is damaged.
- Ref 8 and 9 are linked to the journals and don't seem to have a WP page.
Looking at the content.
- The sections where she is a fellow of various academic societies. I would try and find an original reference for each entry instead of using the current ref which is profile.
- The common name seems to be Beverley Lawrence Beech. The article can renamed later when its in mainspace.
- I would try and cite the books properly. You do this by creating a ref, for example the first one would cite book, then remove the ref tags off the end the reference leaving the citation. This is really handy for folk who want the citation in the document. Lots of different types of research software use use the raw WP citation in that manner. It also improves the look of it and makes it easier to find in the future, instead of the bare info.
- I would try and expand it to include for example, who set up the AIMS and their motivations, the results of her activism, if it lead to change in changes in the medical environment and/or changes in the government and why, her main collaborators. There is barely anything biographical that is detailed.
- It needs more detail of exactly why she is activist. Having a long birth doesn't make you an activist, although its probably of the primary reasons but there is other stuff going on.
Hope that helps. scope_creepTalk 10:26, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Comment I think she was probably an activist first and then elected to the chair? scope_creepTalk 10:29, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I have, I hope, addressed many of your useful suggestions now. One thing though...I have searched the websites for mention of e.g. lists of fellows but they do not have them. They tend to just have a news splash on the new ones for this year. So I guess I have to take the profile mentions on trust. Other than that, do you think it is ready? Let me know? Thanks.
