Article name

[edit]

I'm probably opening a can of worms but is the name BlueCar, Bluecar, BLUECAR (http://www.bluecar.fr) or Blue Car?  Stepho  talk  07:34, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch! I checked the references and the correct name is Bluecar. Due to the ongoing merge discussion here if the merger proceeds into a new article, the timing is good to fix the article's title. In the meantime I will change all occurrences here to Bluecar. Thanks.--Mariordo (talk) 23:23, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Typo

[edit]

Isn't the Bollere concept misspelled? shouldn't it be Bollore like the other mentions of the name 85.83.19.103 (talk) 01:04, 14 March 2013 (UTC)Dan Frederiksen[reply]

Bollóre Bluecar

[edit]

A couple of Bluecars on duty for the Autolib' carsharing service in Paris burnt this week, and apparently there was an explotion. Considering this might be a case of vandalism (see here and here), I propose we hold any edit in this article until the police investigation shares some light on the causes. As a reference, the article Plug-in electric vehicle fire incidents is about fires or thermal runaway incidents caused by the batteries or the electric system. Any opinions? --Mariordo (talk) 01:44, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Remember what happened during Toyota's sudden unintended acceleration situation. If the "OMG! Bluecars are burning everywhere!" crowd see no mention of it here then they will add it in highly biased terms. Better to put a short, factual paragraph that simply says a fire happened, cause not yet determined - with both references of course.  Stepho  talk  08:38, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done as suggested.--Mariordo (talk) 03:06, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent. I made some small tweaks. Not all 25 fires were attributed to vandals (although no other certified cause was mentioned in the references). And I clarified that the fire started in one car and the other was only burnt because it was unfortunate enough to be parked next to the first burning car.  Stepho  talk  04:32, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Battery type

[edit]

The battery that powers the bluecar is stated to be a LMP (Lithium Metal Polymer) which is correct but the hyperlink refers to an article on Lithium Ion polymer battery which is a different kind of battery and technology. There is no article on LMP batteries yet, so for sake of exactitude, you might want to remove the hyperlink altogether. -- Valralf

Is Lithium polymer battery#Lithium cells with true polymer electrolyte the correct place to link to?  Stepho  talk  20:35, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
