FOLLOWER OF LYSENKO???

[edit]

Someone must be kidding here, and it is a very stupid joke. Karpechenko was close to Trofim Lysenko's opponent Nikolai Vavilov, and both his and Vavilov's death at the hands of the NKVD are widely regarded as being masterminded by the Lysenkoites. See Karpechenko and the references therein. I am removing the crap here.L'omo del batocio 13:44, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't article named Brassicoraphanus?

[edit]

I have not followed the history of this article, but the text is currently correct in noting that the xBrassicoraphanus is the correct name for all Brassica X Raphanus hybrids (because Sageret published this valid name a century before Karpchenko published xRaphanobrassica). Should the article be renamed to be consistent with its content, and a redirect placed at Raphanobrassica? Phytism (talk) 01:29, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
