[edit]Just because someone snapps a photo of a subject and uploads it to WP; doesn't validate it as an image that represents the article's subject correctly and with merit. This is by far one of the worst photos of Brit Morgan and does not in any way represent the subject. An engine search calls into question if this is even the subject at all when comparing it to dozens of other images of the actress. Removing it until a more fitting image can be found. - This image has been in the article for over a year, before then the article had this other image two days after the article was created, which is basically the same image, same person, same event, same angle, except she has her eyes open in the latter. Your statement "question if this is even the subject at all" is completely ridiculous, given that you can read her name tag right in front of her. We have a limited number of choices for our article images, we can't use most images that are found on the Internet, they have to be free for everyone to edit and reuse like the rest of the Wikipedia, that's called Wikipedia:Image use policy. If you can find a better one, great, we'd be only too happy to improve it further, but, until then, removing an image that's been here in one or another form for the 12 years that this article has existed without anyone objecting without replacing it with another is ... let's say not an improvement. --GRuban (talk) 13:45, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Restoring. An image that has been in the article for a year, and has an extremely similar one there for 12 years before it, has a pretty good argument to have Wikipedia:Consensus. You can try to remove it, but be prepared for that to be reverted, that's called Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. --GRuban (talk) 13:57, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Consensus does not support any argument to such claim. These images are from the same source; and they are poor. Especially yours. The one you substituted for no reason; in which her eyes appear to be crossed and her mouth distorted. What again was your reasoning to swap images? Regardless, I just discovered this article. Your argument for longevity consensus is moot. The discussion has begun. Gain consensus that this image should remain and represent the subject, then it can stay. Not simply because it has remained for any length of time. I am challenging that there are numerous other images that better represent the subject. This one in particular does not even look like that subject. FYI, what you "informed" me of: Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle" is not mandated and should not be used when the correct procedure has been implemented. You are not practicing good WP editing; but personal agenda motives. Gain consensus while I find a better image. Maineartists (talk) 14:10, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Aha! I may have found a better free image that would make everyone happy. One moment (for large values of moment) ... --GRuban (talk) 19:28, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Done. You like? --GRuban (talk) 21:23, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
