Arriva Trains Wales Repaint[edit]

Named Class 143 units[edit]

Numbers[edit]

I have a photo of a 143, which has the number rubbed off. The door says 55677. Pretty much every other class page lists individual carriages #s and how they relate - how does it work for the 143s? -mattbuck (Talk) 21:06, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Arriva Trains Wales Class 143 Refresh[edit]

A mechanical overhaul and interior refreshed commenced October 2009 on the Arriva Trains Wales Class 143 Pacer DMU trains. They are receiving retrimmed seats in the Arriva Trains moquette and high intensity head/rear lights. Each two car Class 143 Pacer takes three weeks to complete and is being carried out at Barton Hill. I shall be visiting Cardiff for one day during my Spring holiday to the South West towards the end of March and will take photographs and note the improvements in more detail. When did the last one actually run?[edit]

Geoff Marshall's youtube video has his ticket on screen at 29 seconds and it says the 28th

I don't know. Geoff's video was published on 31st and I'd assumed it was that day as I hadn't spotted the date on the ticket. RailCam data has workings for 601 & 609 on 28th, but only an ECS working for 601 on 29th. If the sources differ it would be better just to say at the end of May. --David Biddulph (talk) 07:36, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
