Majority of programming on Sundog, not sole programmer

[edit]

I changed sole programmer to major programmer in the Bruce Webster picture caption. I am going by the information in the Wikipedia FTL Games article which quoted says, "Webster did most of the programming for the Apple II version, but resigned from FTL after the release of version 2.0 due to programming burn-out." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.69.4.20 (talk) 02:07, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A piece of gratuitous trivia

[edit]

I removed the following from the article:

A piece of gratuitous trivia. Once, while attending Grossmont High School (La Mesa, California), Webster permitted some friends to hypnotize him. The hypnotist's suggestion was that Webster assume the persona of Joseph Smith come to preach to unbelievers, but this suggestion broke the trance. "Sorry, Alan," said Webster as he roused himself from the hypnosis, "if you had chosen anyone other than Joseph Smith it might have worked."

While Webster is LDS, and while the piece may be true, it is not sourced, so cannot be verified. If it is included in some reputable source, we can add it back in and cite the reference. It was added by an anon user. — Frecklefoot | Talk 16:14, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The source of the trivia is the anonymous user, who was present at the hypnosis session. That anonymous user wishes to continue in anonymity but added the trivia in an attempt to humanize what otherwise looked like one of them "promotional articles about yourself, your friends, your company or products; or articles written as part of a marketing or promotional campaign" that are meant to be deleted. Selah.

The above comment was posted on my talk page. I put it here for others to review. It still can't be allowed. There is no way it can be verified. — Frecklefoot | Talk 19:18, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

balderdash

[edit]

Just how much of the Bruce Webster hagiography can be verified?
Frecklefoot *is* Bruce Webster.
Wikipedia is really a conspiracy of the U.S. Republican Party and the Church of the LDS! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 201.160.139.125 (talk) 04:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I'm not really Bruce Webster. I got all the information from online sources. I guess I should have ref'ed it all (but I wrote it back when I didn't know how). — Frecklefoot | Talk 21:32, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
