GA tip

[edit]

Before someone actually reviews this (me maybe), fix the lead. It should summarize major points of the article, but now it only talks about how he looks.Sumoeagle179 11:17, 16 June 2007 (UTC)...Summarize each section of the article and if it's well written, the lead won't have foonotes, they'll be in the body. GA Reassessment

This discussion is transcluded from Talk:Buzz (mascot)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.

I have looked over this article as a part of the GA sweeps team. Congratulations! The article still meets the criteria and will therefore remain a GA. Nikki311 21:06, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism

[edit]

It has come to my attention that the Buzz image is almost an exact replica of the image of the Markesan Hornet (mascot for Markesan High School). A section should be made that analyzes the two pictures and whether or not it is a coincidence or something that was purposefully done. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.61.24.13 (talkcontribs) 16:16, 26 February 2009

High schools copy college logos and mascots all the time. It's not really that notable. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 20:56, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It depends on the University's zealousness to defend their brand; see https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/rutgers-takes-legal-action-against-louisiana-high-school-over-logo/ Have a great day Mang (talk) 12:15, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Older versions

[edit]

Would wikipedia be the proper place to include information about past versions of Buzz? I do not want to add extraneous information to an article which does a sufficient job of explaining its topic (and its signifigance). Is there a policy somewhere I could read for guidance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.37.171.84 (talk) 20:28, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if you've got references where other editors can verify what you write, and it's relevant to the article, I don't see why not. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 06:31, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
