[edit]I am currently drafting the Carlos Garaicoa article. I wrote an intro and am adding facts about his early life, exhibitions, and philanthropic work. Matthew should add any exhibits (or other headings!) that are useful to discuss as well as some facts, and edit/comment on the lead paragraph that I wrote. I might add a little more about Cuba's art culture + his influence? Haileyro (talk) 22:27, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]- The lead section is informative and concise and overall good. - There is definitely a clear structure and it is easy to follow. - Sometimes the sentences are lengthy and could be split up-- for example in the early installations section. - Under his influence on cuban art section maybe make a section about his political commentary through his art or maybe make a section about his political ideology as that is something you mention in the lead section - The language is good-- very neutral and clear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tatavivas20 (talk • contribs) 18:30, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- I will re-read the sentences for the early installations, and ensure that the language is clear and concise. I want to include political ideology, but am afraid that it would not sound neutral. However, there are many articles relating to this, so it shouldn't be hard. Haileyro (talk) 22:17, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]- Writing is really good; objectivity is maintained throughout and language is concise and effective - In the Overlapping section, the tense is not consistent in areas where is should be: present tense is used to refer to past exhibits - There is currently a 10 year gap in the article's chronology between Homage to the Six and Continuity of Somebody's Architecture - I would include more information and maybe a small section on Garaico's artistic style and influences since we usually describe and categorize artists by their style - A lot of articles on individuals include sections on personal life, so that could be another section you could add if you have any info on it - When you are finishing up the article and adding images to it, including some of Garaico's photography would be a great way to enhance the article - The sources look good except something weird is going on with the "Overlapping" source - I would break up some of the more complex sentences and replace the commas with periods to achieve a style more in line with the average Wikipedia article - I think the lead section should be a little longer so it is a more comprehensive summary of Garaico Agabler (talk) 19:49, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- I will correct the tense in "Overlapping" -- the gap in chronology is simply because we are working on finding the right piece to fit in between his early/current work.
I'll add more on his style to the intro. There isn't much info on his personal life besides what we have; most articles really focus on his work and ideology because he is very private. However, there is a section on his personal philanthropy project. Adding photography is definitely something I will do. I'll fix Overlapping citation. I will adjust writing style, as noted above. The lead will probably be longer too. Haileyro (talk) 22:17, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
