Contested deletion

[edit]

It appears that a speedy deletion template has been added to this page (not sure if manually or by an automated bot) on the grounds of WP:G4. Although I am not the user who moved the article to the mainspace, I did create it as a draft in December last year, so I will contest the nomination. I believe this is a mistake and the page should not be speedily deleted because the two versions are not substantially identical. As can be checked on the page history, I have worked on the article on my own, from zero, for a number of months, adding substantial prose and sources that the previous version lacked, and improving and updating the lead, the infobox and the racing record section. --MSport1005 (talk) 23:51, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because Casper Stevenson is notable for his Euroformula Open Rookie title and the article isn't substantially identical to the deleted version. Since the deletion a sourced Career section and Personal life section have been added. --Formula Downforce (talk) 10:39, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like a press release

[edit]

The whole page reads like it was written by ones of Stevenson's personal Team. Lots of colourful adjectives and not subjective or neutral. 2A00:23C5:3B16:C401:C02F:E709:E60D:D258 (talk) 22:38, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Care to give examples? It's a concise and neutral description of his seasons and results – I can attest to this because I've written part of it. Even the "Stevenson gained praise [...]" part from the 2022 Gulf 12h is impartial – it cites a S365 article that reads "a noteworthy stint from Casper Stevenson saw the GT3 rookie and Euroformula Open race winner impressively close down Barnicoat in the fifth hour".
