Original research?
[edit]The citation for the assertion that Mr. Shaw and Ms Payne-Townshend had a sexless marriage is "Spark Notes," which seems to be a dubious source. -- Wi2g 02:42, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
Her background?
[edit]Anything on her origins? As Shaw's wife, she has attracted much curiosity. This article could be filled-out a little. 109.154.9.58 (talk) 21:48, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Reasons for celibacy?
[edit]'Charlotte resolved to have no children and abstained from sex completely throughout the marriage.' I think this warrants a few words of explanation. Was it sex-phobia, or a reaction to a bad early experience, or a religious conviction, or just wanting to devote herself single-mindedly to the cause? Valetude (talk) 21:31, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Sentence needs correction
[edit]"He told Ellen Terry that the proposal was like an "earthquake" and he "with shuddering horror and wildly [sic] asked the fare to Australia"." Seems a word is missing. Autodidact1 (talk) 04:09, 11 November 2017 (UTC)
