Christian practices

[edit]

To clarify, [1] says "Crowdy adopted various Jewish rituals and symbols, such as circumcision of newborn boys, use of the Jewish calendar, wearing of skullcaps, observance of Saturday as the Sabbath, and celebration of Passover, including smearing animal blood on the outside of their homes in commemoration of God's method for differentiating Jewish from Egyptian homes in the book of Exodus. These were blended with Christian practices, including baptism, consecration of bread and water as the body and blood of Christ, and foot washing, to form a unique ritual synthesis." It says nothing of any origin in Judaism, that was OR by the editor who added it. Dougweller (talk) 16:26, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
