class: stub. This is a good beginning, but the article needs work. What you've done right: citations inline, reputable, etc. what needs work: consistency of style (which name to use), more content, the issue of "so what" needs to be addressed. For example: strong anal component of German character...what does this mean? I can think of a variety of meanings, but I'm not sure which one your source is referring to. also, did you put in the personal data template?

importance: changed from high to low. Why is this guy so important that he rates "high" in the importance scale???? I changed it to low. I can only think of a few people who would qualify has high importance. Auntieruth55 (talk) 20:34, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh, good call--that "high" was just there from a cut and paste job. Ha, I would never rate this article as very important, though I'm puzzled that there's no German version. Thanks, and thanks for your comments (the name comment is very valid), Drmies (talk) 13:20, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've streamlined your lead, this needs more content, which I know nothing about. What did he contribute to the arts festival, for example? What about that company? You mention it, but then it drops off the radar. Do we know anything about his education, his childhood? How did he cope with the Nazi movement (I'd guess that they were not big fans of his), etc.? Good start, keep going. (oh, and something on the minor poet...if you find it....?)Auntieruth55 (talk) 15:48, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Whoa Auntie, that's real work you're talking about! Yes, I know, the company needs a bit more. It seems they still sell cigars, though I couldn't even find a website for the joint. Biographical info, we have next to nothing (for now). Nazis, not a word. But I did find a reference to a centenary book for the company, which I'll try to get through ILL. Thanks for your interest, your suggestions, and for putting your fingers on the various weak spots! Now, dear Auntie, can we get some crumpets? That's what aunties do, you know! Drmies (talk) 17:02, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
crumpets? I might make brownies or chocolate cake. (I make a pretty mean sponge!) Crumpets aren't in my league. Well, the other stuff is something to think about for the future and ILL is always a good thing. ;) Good luck with this. Auntieruth55 (talk) 20:12, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
