Rivals section removed[edit]

I removed the "Rivals" section, as it was unsourced. There were four entries on it; you can see them in this diff. tedder (talk) 03:49, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jock[edit]

Jocks status updated as he retired from the Club a number of years ago and now lives quietly in Nth NSW —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.202.43.54 (talk) 01:55, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Years Active" is referring to the gang, not the founder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.211.53.248 (talk) 11:29, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

outlaw[edit]

I know it is common parlance, but I take issue with using this word. Either these groups are outside the law, then they should be prosecuted and sentenced. Or they are inside the law then the word should not be used. There is really no grey area here. Yes, one occoasionally gets the impression they are not the most law abiding groups in the land, their loud motorbikes are an insult, but only those individuals involved in that particular case which is reported on should be called 'outlaw' - after the court has found them guilty. The blanket use of the word 'outlaw' is somewhat brainless. 121.209.50.83 (talk) 05:28, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The word 'outlaw' itself carries a specific meaning which does not imply immediate criminal intent; rather it means the club is not sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and does not adhere to the AMA's rules.[1]

How is the American Motorcycle Association relevant to Australia? in context of this club they did not branch out from an American club so that is an idiotic point of reference and shows a lack of understanding the topic. I don't have referneces so can't cite any to illustrate how the term may differ from American usage in this context.Czarnibog (talk)

Relax; he was just stating what "outlaw" originally meant and continues to mean, in this context. And since Australian and British clubs have copied American clubs down to the last detail, even appropriating the names, it's worthwhile to mention the definition of "outlaw" since they appropriated that word as well. By the way, there was a Comanchero MC in California, formed in the early 60s, before this one. "Devil's Henchmen" and "Gypsy Joker" were likewise ripped off. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.123.225.47 (talk) 04:16, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

mistaken fax[edit]

The story about the mistaken fax is hard to believe. Even if the fax was intended for the Angels, it is hard to believe. The Angels should know who their members are, without outside help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.193.134.88 (talk) 15:35, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nicely spotted. Given that it was uncited, it has been removed. --Biker Biker (talk) 15:45, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is no chapter in Erskine Park[edit]

There is no known chapter in Erskine Park. If there is, then feel free to post details. The reference cited mentions nothing about a chapter at Erskine Park. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.240.69.86 (talk) 13:10, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comancheros[edit]

The original founder of the Comancheros was Floyd A. Olson in 1961, in Richmond, California.Silentjim1000 (talk) 15:42, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes - the article needs to be changed to reflect this. Also, Comancheros (a California MC) were mentioned in Hunter Thompson's article "The Motorcycle Gangs" which appeared in the Nation issue of May 17, 1965 (available online). He also mentioned them in the book "Hells Angels". As with most MCs, it was an American club whose name was copied by those outside the USA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.123.225.47 (talk) 04:16, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
