List of future pipelines[edit]

I decided to move these from the article until these pipelines are online. • SbmeirowTalk • 15:46, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A partial list of future pipelines, either started or proposed, with connections at Cushing:

  • Grand Mesa Pipeline, operated by Rimrock Midstream, flows from fields around Weld County, Colorado, online in Q4 2016.[1]
  • Kansas Express Pipeline, operated by JP Energy, flows from fields around Coldwater, Kansas, proposed.
  • Red River Pipeline, operated by Plains All American Pipeline, flows out to other pipelines in Longview, Texas, with a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day (24,000 m3/d), online in 2016.
  • Saddlehorn Pipeline System, operated by Magellan Midstream Partners, from oil fields near Platteville, Colorado, with a capacity of 400,000 barrels per day (64,000 m3/d), online in 2016.[2]

Pronunciation[edit]

Is it pronounced /ˈkʊʃɪŋ/ with the same vowel in the first syllable as cushion, or /ˈkʌʃɪŋ/ to rhyme with gushing? Beorhtwulf (talk) 10:02, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The first, like cushion. I grew up nearby. --Pete Tillman (talk) 09:52, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting proposal[edit]

I propose to split the oil section to a new article titled Oil industry in Cushing, Oklahoma. It is currently taking up a too big part of this article, while it could be exdended even more to include info on the futures market. PhotographyEdits (talk) 14:51, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine, as long as you leave a summary in this article, and copy this section to the new article as a starting point (for edit history) and say something in your edit comment about it being copied from this article too. Thanks. • SbmeirowTalk • 02:32, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
