Its just not a car, its a Charade!

[edit]

I remember seeing some early proposed marketing material for the car when Diahatsu was coming to North America and they used the tagline "Its just not a car, its a Charade the best car ever made in the intire universe!". They dropped the line, but insisted on the name. user: stude62 user talk:stude62 14:03, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

G20 (Chile)

[edit]

The information on this article is incomplete/inaccurate. The charade sold here in Chile between approx. 1977-1984 was called G20 (not G10), the first generation had round headlights, the second (1981-1984) had square headlights, both powered by an 843cc 3-cylinder engine. There also was the Runabout version, which had 3 doors and two round windows in the back. jvidal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.45.130.95 (talk) 14:26, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FWD?

[edit]

Was looking for information on whether these were front or rear wheel drive cars220.233.43.173 (talk) 06:58, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article doesn't say and I'm not 100% positive, but it is almost definitely front engined and front wheel drive, like almost every other small hatch back since the mid 70s. The first generation is the only one I'm not positive about, later generations are definitely FWD. --Leivick (talk) 08:24, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The first generation was a FWD 10th September 2011 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.131.123.22 (talk) 12:10, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Missing 1.5?

[edit]

The article also misses the fact that some hatches in AUS were 1.5l - I own a 1997 1.5L Hatchback - G203 Engine/badge on the car Benjsc (talk) 04:04, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, the 1.5 is mentioned (not just Aussie, either): Daihatsu_Charade#G200  Mr.choppers | ✎  08:40, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
