David is gravely ill

[edit]

I've heard from mutual friends, that David has suffered a stroke and may not survive long — Preceding unsigned comment added by Activist (talkcontribs) 00:33, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

His death has now been confirmed. Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:25, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen posts in personal communications that he has passed, but none verify the date of death. From those posts that I've seen, he may have died at home, but lingered there before passing. I'll stay on it and post if a date needs correction and I can confirm it in a Reliable Source. Activist (talk) 05:29, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Ghmyrtle: The San Francisco Chronicle seems to be the first RSS to confirm the date of David's death, but refers to David's blog, maintained by his friends, as the source, but the blog does not mention the place of death, which the Chronicle places in Oakland. Nice followup Chronicle story, dated 2 January, confirms place of death as at home in Oakland. Activist (talk) 19:53, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
