[edit]Article subject does not seem to meet Wikipedia:NSPORT, which states
"Minor league players, managers, coaches, executives, and umpires are not assumed to be inherently notable. To establish that one of these is notable, the article must cite published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject. Fan sites and blogs are generally not regarded as reliable sources, and team sites are generally not regarded as independent of the subject. Although statistics sites may be reliable sources, they are not sufficient by themselves to establish notability."

Speedy Deletion Question
[edit]I thought this page was important because David Phelps got promoted to triple-A baseball from double-A. Because of this, the person would appear on many more templates on Wikipedia. I thought it would be good to create pages on triple-A baseball players for this reason. Also, many of these could be stars sometime in the near future. Yankeesrule3 (talk) 01:15, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, AAA baseball is still "minor league." Thus, Mr. Phelps is not inherently notable. However, you may still be able to prove notability as per the guidelines I posted above. --Non-Dropframe talk 01:22, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
To comment on notability, this person has a significant likelihood of making a major league debut, which would make him notable inherently. As such, there is lots of WP:POTENTIAL and this article should not be deleted. --Muboshgu (talk) 18:52, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
