The result of the move request was: moved. The nominator makes a good case for the proposed title being the common name and I don't find either of the opposes to be convincing. Jenks24 (talk) 08:39, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
David Dephy Gogibedashvili → David Dephy – He is best known by the name David Dephy, and this not a pen name, this is a real name. This is per MOS guidelines on article naming and lead section follows normal convention in thousands of articles. GreenC 15:24, 18 November 2015 (UTC) Relisted. - Oppose - not an established name. Jaqeli 02:36, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- To the contrary, all English-language sources refer to him as "David Dephy". All that matters is how the English-language sources refer to him. -- GreenC 02:56, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose the only source I can see in Google Books has David-Dephy Gogibedashvili per Best European Fiction 2012 (Best European Fiction) - Page 436. Has he actually got any printed work out there? In ictu oculi (talk) 21:21, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

- As far as I know, he is only known as "David Dephy" in any and all English language sources. In a government sponsored Georgian website the article title is "David Dephy". On his personal website he calls himself "David Dephy". His Facebook page is David Dephy. Georgian National Book Center calls him David Dephy. [[Getty Images] refers to him as David Dephy. BOMB Magazine calls him David Dephy. -- GreenC 03:07, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

[edit]uncited biographical material will be removed, and needs sourcing and proper citation to be re-added. the sea of red links are being removed. we appreciate that some of these may be notable within their own specialty, but article before link for biographies. thanks for helping create an awesome and accurate'ish encyclopedia, Saintstephen000 (talk) 02:50, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
Addendum: surely, editors with direct knowledge, interest and resources will take the mandate and properly source these life tidbits or not, and edit accordingly. As it stands, it becomes a few well-sourced paragraphs and a list of notable accomplishments. Thanks again. Saintstephen000 (talk) 19:35, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
