This is a very weak list in comparison with Deaths in 2007 and its spinoffs by month[edit]

I'm just saying. Possibly we could consider it for deletion as redundant to 2001#Deaths.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 05:58, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Both are redundant to Category:2001 deaths. Any category or wannabe category that is not auto-populated should be deleted. There is too much real work to be done for anyone to waste time manually populating a list.

Not if it is well-maintained by many editors - it gives more info and should contain more people than the Deaths section of 2001, which has minimum requirements for inclusion. It gives more info on each person than the 2001 deaths cat. Qzm (talk) 20:31, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
