Nemorail[edit]

Would it be possible for someone familiar with Disneyland to add something about the new nemorail that was made for the reopening of the subs. I don't have any info about it, and I don't know how much info Disney has actually released to the public. Sir gyre gimble 01:18, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Monorail Blue[edit]

Edits yesterday by User:Mikokat state that Monorail Blue has been retired. I rode this train on February 4th and 5th, 2006, between Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney, so while its possible that the train was retired earlier this week, can anyone confirm? Hawaiian717 16:13, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My online sources indicate no, but I'll ask a Monorail Cast Member the next time I'm in the park. Monorail Purple was being used on February 9.

As of February 26, 2006, Monorail Blue and Monorail Purple are operating regularly, and Monorail Red is in the shop, although I don't think I'd say at this point any of the current three monorails are going to be retired.

Monorail Red is currently being reverse-engineered to become the new Mark VII.Currently the monorails are on shuttle-mode.Also, a new image has been added to the article.

Red is in the shop. It's Orange that is/was being reverse-engineered =P

Due to literally falling apart on the beam. (I'm sure it's Floridian counterpart isn't to far from the same fate.) Red is clearly visible in Shop, and Blue and Purple are doing the rounds.

Are the the Mark VII monorails going to be new-build or upgrades to the existing cars? Would chainging the 'Built by Ride & show ...' to 'Upgraded by ...' for the Mark V monorails be more correct? 195.92.168.168 22:54, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They are a completely new rebuild. The "reverse-engineering" is being done to understand the complexities of the monorail sub-systems but shall be replaced with newly built components. --SirLamer 22:39, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No Mark IV or Mark VI?[edit]

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why no train has been designated as Mark IV or Mark VI? Were those used for prototypes, or are even numbers saved for "partial upgrades," as the Mark II is merely a lengthened Mark I? Musashi1600 10:27, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure the Mark IV and Mark VI are Walt Disney World Monorail System designations. --Lyght 10:43, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that is the reason why. SirLamer 23:52, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

never Mind

Fate of Monorail Purple[edit]

Does anyone know whatever happened to Monorail Purple? It wasn't upgraded to a Mark VII, and I believe it is either stored in the barn or scrapped outright. Anyone have any information on Monorail Purple? --BNSF1995 (talk) 19:35, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New image[edit]

Can someone get a new image of the Disneyland Monorail. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.23.168.217 (talk) 20:25, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you be more specific regarding what you want? We already have multiple photos of the Mark VII. The only thing I can think of would be to add a photo showing the new Cars-inspired faces. I can upload one in the next few days. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 16:23, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The top one of the Disneyland Monorail pulling out of the station. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.130.187.220 (talk) 22:11, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By "top one" I'm guessing you mean the one in the infobox. It's actually seen as it passes on top of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage show building. It illustrates one of the current Mark VII trains. Is there something about the photo you don't like or think specifically could better illustrate the monorails? -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 00:52, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, we could put a photo of it in front of the Matterhorn. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.130.187.220 (talk) 01:21, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Loop schematic request[edit]

Could someone put up a BS-map of the system? (I've tried but can't get the formatting right) Both stations are accessible and the Disneyland Railroad also stops at Tomorrowland. There is a switch along Harbor Blvd going back to the same barn where the steam trains are kept. knoodelhed (talk) 02:34, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
