Somebody should write a section detailing the controversy surrounding Mindbender as a supposedly negative portrayal of homosexuals. The assertion being that his colorful clothing (especially his metal-studded suspenders) are a stereotyped parody of dress associated with gay men. This understandably led some to believe that his foppishness (in addition to being a member of the "evil" Cobra) serve to parody and denomize gays. I'd do it myself, but I haven't the time right now to do it properly (or even find references).
