Election season
[edit]An anonymous user has been inserting a statement from a DC police officer who claims Sherwood received preferential treatment, and said Sherwood should have been arrested. See the following from this newspaper article [1]...
- Responding to Ruiz’s comments, a commander in the department said Ruiz never interviewed Sherwood and doesn’t know all the details of the case.
- Commander Thomas McGuire of Metropolitan Police Department’s District 1 insists Sherwood did not receive preferential treatment.
- “These allegations are always made” in cases involving a political official in Washington, McGuire said.
Because Ruiz never interviewed Sherwood, his comments appear unfair, and do not belong here.
Now, to whether Chris Carney should be referred to as "Lt. Commander" or "...Naval Reserve lieutenant commander." Because Carney political career, not his military career, is the primary focus, I feel he should not be identified as "Lt. Commander," though his military title and branch of service should definitely be mentioned.
I know this is election season, but let's be fair and neutral, OK? Name Not Needed 02:01, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- I think the issue about the quote is an issue within the publication. The publication, however, is still reputable, no? Jesuschex 00:33, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

- The first two changes worked, but the third one is a failure--the original is not archived. -- Pemilligan (talk) 18:19, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
Parking dead link about ore settlement here
[edit]Parking this link here; If we find it archived somewhere or find an alternate source, it seems from reading the description that it would do better as a citation incorporated into the article rather than an external link.
