In which county?

[edit]

According to the USGS Geographic Names Information System, Drawbridge is within Alameda County, not Santa Clara County, although it's very close to the border. But I don't have time right now to change both the county name and the reference to "one of two ghost towns in the county," given that it's not really in "the county" but in the one to the north. I would be curious to know of other ghost towns in Alameda County, though.

And what's the deal with the reference to the "Murky News"? Isn't the newspaper nicknamed that for reasons other than its reporting on Drawbridge? The paragraph sounds like editorialization. Michael Patrick 15:05, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. The refs I added today say that Coyote Slough is the county line and that Drawbridge is just to the north. Have to check to make sure that it's not in Fremont city limits now. Article needs more about use of the site, salt ponds, etc.--Hjal 16:05, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Turn bridge

[edit]

"For years after the turn bridge drawbridges were removed..."

I think the 'turn bridges' refered to in this sentence are swing bridges, but this should be confirmed. ike9898 (talk) 08:50, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
