Birth date[edit]

A quick search turned up a variety of sources with varying dates (mostly 5 and 15 but also 7). I added an Australian War Memorial citation for 5 May on the grounds they are probably more reliable than most, but if you prefer 15 go with his high school'shonour board info. Normally I would resolve this by looking up the birth indexes, but in this case, I cannot find any birth in Qld for Duncan Chapman (no idea why not but the birth of many of his older siblings are not recorded either suggesting the parents weren't in the habit of bothering).
