Housing bubble and Derivatives created under Clinton
[edit]Where is it mentioned that the Subprime bubble began under Clinton? It also helped fuel the gdp numbers.--76.92.122.151 (talk) 01:40, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Criticism Section
[edit]Yeah, um... The third section in this part... I'd like to get to know these nameless "economists" that credit Clinton with the creation of NAFTA. Because, you know... I'm pretty sure that NAFTA was born under Reagan, crafted by Bush Senior, and all that was need was a signature by the time Clinton came to office. (Despite Bush desperately attempting to fast track it through at the end of his Presidency.)
Oh, and by "I'm pretty sure"....I mean it's historical fact. Those silly nameless economists. Abalu (talk) 08:47, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Abalu
Previous discussion without headers
[edit]Is it trut that Clinton utilized a variant of the American School of economics, because I heard that one of his plans was to simultanioussly fund and tax large corporations, and it was this brilliant stratagy of creating turning industry into a renewable tax resource that created the great surpluss during his administration.
Extensive Cleanup
[edit]Am going to work on cutting down the Policy sections of this article and combining them into one or two comprehensive sections. Currently, they read too much like some freshman econ major's term paper. Need to find some sources independent of the few used by the original author and try to limit the heavy usage of detailed econspeak. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.179.122.109 (talk) 19:06, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Clintonomics so creative and original not Encyclopedia material
[edit]I like the anti-NAFTA Dobbsian view point espoused. But it's not a encyclopedia it is an Op-Ed right??? No !!!! Please if your going to write an artical about a word that no one uses at the very least make it accurate and well written so that at least it could be combined w/ clinton economic policy. An other thing talking about how the only bills that could be considered were deregulation the president implements the law the legislature makes them so that was not Clintons policy alone with republicans controlling both houses Clinton tried to make the best of it (having sex with an intern ) . As far as Social Security there is nothing wrong with it the easy fix is raising the amount income which can be taxed programs cost money means testing is a good idea as well the idea.It is just a bad anti-clinton artical most likely by an Obama Maniac I voted for him I agree with him on everything but IRAQ but the supporters can be anti-democrats who are not Obama and for people who were not alway part of the party or were the DEMs and REPs are the same people it is annoying---- Nate Riley 02:16, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Um, yeah. I agree. Ish. Your diatribe really loses its coherency, however, about halfway through.
I'm not a fan of Clinton. Or Obama. Or Bush, Reagan, Carter, or many Presidents, really. I really do dislike Clinton, though. Special form of dislike for the man. Even so, I'm not at all impressed with this article. Really needs work, if it even deserves to be kept. 76.27.35.131 (talk) 03:52, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Piss Poor
[edit]This is written very poorly; amateur.
Needs Cleanup!
[edit]This Wikipedia page is very informal, not a positive when it comes to articles. For example, in the "Macroeconomic policies" section, the second sentence starts, "The first factor we will examine..." The article is written much more like a lecture or PowerPoint than an encyclopedia entry. In addition, the next section keeps referring to "figure 2" and "figure 5." Not only is the term "figure" unclear, but no figures in the article exist except for a picture of Bill Clinton on a lectern. This kind of writing continues throughout the article. For this reason, I am marking this article as "needs cleanup." Aplaster (talk) 26 December 2012.
Move proposal
[edit]I would like to move this article and I am writing to assess interest. This article should be moved to a name that is more in line with Economic policy of Barack Obama and Economic policy of the George W. Bush administration. The word Clintonomics can still be referenced in the article, but the current title lacks clarity. Andrew327 06:05, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Issues of Bias
[edit]There is a pretty extreme lack of reliable sources and appropriate sourcing format going on here. I am currently taking a look into backing up this info with additional sources. I must, however, insist that the bias demonstrated in the Macroeconomics category (and elsewhere) be altered. It is not appropriate to reword opinion articles and insert them into Wikipedia. Wendigo.zlato (talk) 02:45, 24 February 2016 (UTC) Alright, I got started with some info from Statista. To be continued...Wendigo.zlato (talk) 03:18, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

Housing bubble and deregulation of housing
[edit]People talk about the finance, but what about his loosening of housing standards and active incentivising of low quality housing 2001:448A:1082:3A7F:805F:3E05:DFCF:31D3 (talk) 07:15, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
