No. Sen. Hernandez doesn't use the accent.
Also, he did not leave the CA Assembly because he hit his term limit -- he still had a 2 year term left. He ran for the Senate at that time because there was an open seat. He could still choose to go back to the Assembly to finish the last 2 year term if he so chooses.
