Passed GA
[edit]I passed this article into the realm of "good articles" because I think it meets all 6 requirements at WP:WIAGA. 1.) very well-written, bravo (nothing mispelled and nothing is wordy). 2.) very accurate, well referenced, and verifiable (24 refs which are very accurate). 3.) comprehensive (and some good terms are highlighted for the reader) . 4.) NPOV, 5.) stable (its new), and 6.) several pretty images. Congratulations Showmanship is the key 01:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
]Improvement'
The article is well written and comprehensive and the lead is good. There are minor flaws to the article and to go to a FA, it needs much more work. The second section is a bit too longer and readers might find that tdiuos to read so maybe that can be broken down to smaller sections with actual pictures of the Impact of the event. The see also section should include all of the ther effects of the Hurricane in different places, possibly a navigational box? There's also just one sentence wrong in the article--"Prior to the arrival of Isabel, Governor Ed Rendell declaration a state of emergency for the state." Landfall and gust are the only words I think a reader might be curious about, so you might want to link them. Though overall, good article.
Thanks. I don't plan on sending this to FA - there simply isn't enough info. Regarding the other effects, there's a template at the bottom of the page that does that. I kept the second section broken up by area; any other splitting might be confusing. Hurricanehink (talk) 01:22, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
GA Sweeps Review: Pass
[edit]As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria. I'm specifically going over all of the "Meteorology and atmospheric sciences" articles. I believe the article currently meets the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. I have made several minor corrections throughout the article. Altogether the article is well-written and is still in great shape after its passing in 2007. Continue to improve the article making sure all new information is properly sourced and neutral. It would also be beneficial to go through the article and update all of the access dates of the inline citations and fix any dead links. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have updated the article history to reflect this review. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 23:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
