Making up ordinals[edit]

We should not make up our own ordinals. Is there any evidence that the kings of Prussia after 1713 continued numbering from their elector of Brandenburg predecessors for use in Brandenburg? Is there any document or work, for example, in which Friedrich Wilhelm II is called Friedrich Wilhelm III? If not, we shouldn't make up our own numbers. john k (talk) 03:46, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
