Landlord discrimination

I have lived in Asheville arms apts for about 5 + I've went to the landlord about fixing things in my apt that cost me $1500 a month. But they want me to pay out of my pocket to fix them once again I rent not renting to own so why do you guys allowed these landlord to get away with this. I know my rights as an person as well as a disable person. I'm bringing this to your attention.
