[edit]Just a comment: one of the things I loved about this episode is the way the Picard talks about his experience with being a part of the Collective. Gene Roddenberry said something about allegory being the best science fiction, and this episode is no different. In his breakdown after the fight with his brother, Picard describes his experience almost as if it were a rape. I was so impressed with Star Trek for being so brave about dealing with a very difficult subject. --Hires an editor 22:13, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
I keep seeing around the internet that "Family" is listed as "the only episode NOT to feature the bridge." Here, at least, wikipedia recognizes "A Fistful of Datas" and "Liaisons". But I just watched "Dark Page" (season7, episode7) and saw no bridge in that one either. There were a lot of shots in the observation deck, but I don't consider all of deck 1 "the bridge."
Basically, I want to know if the community agrees that "Dark Page" should be listed alongside the other three as having no shot of the Bridge.
Data?
[edit]Should it also be noted that this is the only TNG episode in which Data (Brent Spiner) does not appear? Samatva (talk) 16:29, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
René
[edit]Does anyone know whether Picard's nephew René had that name chosen for him on purpose? It just occurs to me that "René" is French for "born again", as if to suggest that René is Jean-Luc Picard born all over again. The original context of "René/born again" is, of course, religious. Nonetheless, I wonder if the name was chosen because René is a younger version of his uncle. Kelisi (talk) 05:51, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
