This sounds like an ad for the town in some places. Well written, but it just seems a little too chamber-of-commerce-ish.

Great info, especially the George Washington quote (documentation?)

I made some changes since this comment was made.Noroton 22:15, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

House Parties Ordinance?[edit]

The following was in the *Economy* section. I've removed it pending someone finding a citation for it.

Farmington has recently passed a House Parties Law, which allows Police or Parents to legally walk into a private residence if they feel that there is suspicious behavior and there is some need for intervention

I also corrected some of its spelling errors. --Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 04:06, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Battle of Gettysburg?[edit]

I doubt that Rochambeau was en route to Gettysburg during the American Revolution, since the Battle of Gettysburg was fought during the Civil War!—Preceding unsigned comment added by DGerlach (talkcontribs)

  • They could have had two battles! Just kidding...I fixed it.-- aBSuRDiST -TC- 01:03, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:FarmingtonCTseal.gif[edit]

Nuvola apps important.svg

Image:FarmingtonCTseal.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Notable people section[edit]

I removed a few people from this section because they did not have their own Wikipedia article, which is required to establish notability per Wikipedia guidelines. The information I removed is: Eric Ashmont, 93.3 KDKB radio host "Shmonty", born at University of Connecticut Health Center, attended Farmington High School, Jenah Doucette, former fashion model, placed third on the ninth "cycle" of the hit reality show America's Next Top Model, graduated from Farmington High School[1] and Alex Truncali, notorious hot air balloon pilot from 2006-2012. Thanks--BuzyBody (talk) 22:34, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
