[edit]Hoi,
this guy is definitely notable! He has been referenced in several media. See for example this blog post, where he has been cited by Die Zeit, Spiegel, n-tv, Deutsche Presseagentur, Tagesschau (!) and even the Bild had an article about him. Also, the DPA has already cited him [1]. There's surely more, and furthermore, his article has even been kept on the German Wikipedia, that basically says it all. I have no idea about sourcing, but we'll surely find a way about this. --Jugendsünde (talk) 19:59, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Cool beans! However, as the article creator it is your obligation to put reliable sources into the article which prove its notability. Remember that Wikipedia-notability is different than dictionary-definition notability. Though it may not look like it on first blush, there are strict policies on what subjects and content can and cannot be included in Wikipedia. In very general terms, before a person, place, thing, organization, or idea can be included in Wikipedia it must have
- already been recognized
- as important or significant
- by objective, independent, and provable third party sources
- with a established reputation for fact-checking
- which are independent of both the subject of the article and of Wikipedia itself.
- That's just a plain-English generalization of the actual rules to give you an idea of what's going on here, so don't rely on it but refer to the actual policies instead. (For a great analogy illustrating these concepts, see WP:SCRABBLE.) Without a working knowledge of Wikipedia policy it can be very frustrating to try to write an article that won't be deleted. I've tried several times to write a better introduction to editing than can be found at the Article Wizard and Your First Article and I can't. Don't be tempted to skip past sections of either one, they're full of solid gold information. Also, if you've not done so already, you need to read the Notability, Verifiability, No original research, What Wikipedia is not, and Conflict of interest policies from beginning to end. Good luck with your editing, TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 22:29, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
CCC
[edit]Isn't he a member of the Chaos Computer Club? --79.224.239.180 (talk) 22:10, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
- Of course he is. :-) --Rotbier (talk) 01:08, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- As of Tuesday, Jan 19th 2016, he left the CCC for reasons re. the freedom of speech in the club itself. See his blog post for yourself @ https://blog.fefe.de/?ts=a860443c — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.219.110.38 (talk) 02:36, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
Date of birth
[edit]Felix has expressedly noted in his blog recently, that his date of birth is in Wikipedia without his consent (see here; German text). Prompted by that I note that that the date is also not supported by any source. Like in German WP, I thus challenge that item; unless someone adds proper sources or gives a conmvincing rationale to the contrary I intend to remove it on BLP grounds. - There is a reliable source for his birthday. His company's Code Blau GmbH entry in Handelsregister can be viewed online and contains his birthday. 211.20.131.218 (talk) 02:56, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
