The parentheses are actually a way to show that a species or subspecies was described by the author in a different name than the one currently assigned i.e. the genus was different when the author described it.

That it is an average is mentioned earlier in the sentence: I've reworded it so that it is maybe slightly clearer.

"have 7 other species' seven.

A couple of [clarification needed] tags in there.

Gleaning was already linked, and I've added an explanation. The second tag is after a subspecies name which has already been mentioned, so maybe you could remove it if you think it's clear enough.

Date formats in the references should be consistent, either DD MM YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD, but not a mixture.

Fixed, all refs are now YYYY-MM-DD
