XP compatible[edit]

Anyone know how to get the "Gold" edition to run under XP? Bastie 07:03, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

My memory of this game was that it had great graphics (for the time) but that it rapidly became unplayable because of the "jokes" that the game's programmers went well over the top in inflicting on the player. These included floating (in the air) ground structures (they also disappeared into the ground, as, for example, when you were trying to find the aerodrome to land). Planes accompanying you on a mission would turn back behind your back leaving you to fight the enemy alone. For no reason you would be inflicted with red mist (you would be barely able to see anything), and the wings would come off the plane in the shallowest dive. All in all, the game was a complete travesty (an insult to the pilots of WWI, in fact), and in particular a waste of the great work that was put in to the aesthetics and accuracy of the game by the artists. If it weren't for the fact that the game was given to me as a present, I would have demanded my money back. Disappointed (talk) 17:10, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
