Image thumbnail: Censorship is not visible

[edit]

@Reinyday: The image you added (the first image in the gallery) is not a good demonstration of the subject, because in the thumbnail, you can barely tell that the image has been edited at all. The second image in the gallery is one I happened to be looking at before coming here. The remaining images provide good demonstrations of image censorship in a variety of situations. There are also many other good images to choose from. Brianjd (talk) 10:57, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I thought about it a bit more, and realised that image 2 is probably censored to protect the viewer, while the other four images are censored to protect the subjects. Image 4 could also have the breasts (or at least nipples) censored, and would then be censored to protect both the subject and the viewer. This distinction is not clearly explained in the article. I was about to suggest this article for Wikipedia:WikiProject Journalism, but on closer inspection, this article has a clear (and unexplained) focus on filmmaking. Brianjd (talk) 11:25, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
