This article was translated from German by a German. Any correction of wording, grammar and other mistakes is welcome. Annotation: The German article was created by myself, so I don't think anyone should worry about my authorization to translate.--Kauko56 09:34, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To do

[edit]
  • There's another Franz Schmidt, a musician. I do not know how to introduce a disambiguation in the English Wikipedia (in German, I do). Please help.
  • Categorization needs to be done: "executioner", "man", "German", "death in 1635" and the like. Please help.--Kauko56 09:34, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Location?

[edit]

The intro states that Franz was Executioner in Nuremberg, and his description statesa it was instead Nurnberg. Which one is true, I don't knoew. 203.217.61.233 (talk) 11:03, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is one and the same. Local German spelling: Nürnberg (with U-umlaut). People without a German keyboard sometimes use a simple u instead: Nurnberg. And People outside Germany sometimes use "Nuremberg" just as they write "Cologne" for Köln, or "Munich" for München, "Rome" for Roma, or "Copenhagen" for København.37.201.229.113 (talk) 14:27, 4 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
