Further information request

92.229.61.65 (talk) 09:37, 13 November 2010 (UTC) I hope I´m right here, to post my question. I woul like to know where I could find any of this Faras-nāma literature. Sadly I dont speak arabic or farsi, nor am i abled to read it. If anyone would have any suggestion of how to get hold of a copy or any further informaiton related to this topic i´d be very grateful.[reply]

I do not think much of this has been edited, and if it has it almost certainly hasn't been translated. There is lots of medieval literature that has never been edited by anyone. --dab (𒁳) 07:36, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of works

[edit]

The reference I used states that indeed al-Muthanná wrote a book by the name "Kitāb al-khayl". The first edition was published by "Dāʼirat al-Maʻārif al-ʻUthmānīyah" in 1358 AH in India. It's very possible that Al-Asma'i also authored another book by the same name. --Al-Andalusi (talk) 01:04, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Faris

[edit]

there should be a separate entry for faris or Muslim Medieval knight, a practitioner of Furusiyya, and pre-14th century furusiyya (or Furusiya as Nicolle has it) had to do with Eurasian nomadic and Muslim martial arts mainly.DarioTW (talk) 21:19, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

seems quite short

[edit]

this article seems quite short and I wonder if it is a stub. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.170.16.102 (talk) 19:54, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
