On April 20th this year, the Crestline (Ohio) High School baseball field in Gates' hometown was renamed Gates Brown Field.

I am not confident in my editing abilities.

Stuffing Hot Dogs inside uniform during a baseball game

This occurred on August 6, 1968 during the 6th inning in the second game of a doubleheader, that game got suspended in the 9th inning and was completed on August 7.
