Those list of winners articles should be merged into here. This is barely a substub and a list of years when it was held; it clearly doesn't need or deserve 10 articles. --Rory096(block) 16:41, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If merged, though, they'd overwhelm the main article and create a huge monstrosity. Each one is a decent list on its own, wikified, they'll be useful starting points for reference out into articles to see who's a notable figure in the world of gay porn. Night Gyr 10:21, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Until it is decided whether to merge the articles, they should not be wikified to avoid wasted effort (wikified text may be removed and links may become redundant). Also, the introductions are copyvios from the GayVN website. Most of the performers and almost all of the behind the scenes people (except directors) don't have articles (although there are quite a few with the same name as people who do have articles) and almost none of the movies has an article, so little wikification can be done. -- Kjkolb 05:20, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My opinion

[edit]

I believe that it should be edited down to one page. As stated above there is no need to ahve 8000 pages, as the awards will continue yearly. If layed out correctly, with the link box, though it may be a long page. All the info will be right there on one page, opposed to linked multiple times. One page makes more sense.

Also is there a way to make the search of this topic less sensitive. The search wont notice gayvn awards... it only notices gayVN awards. It seems odd that the two letters would HAVE to be capitalized to get any sort of result.

[edit]

It is obvious that some of the text is lifted from somewhere; it's written like a newspaper article. It should be reworded to avoid copyright violations.Chidom talk  01:36, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the text that potentially violates someone else's copyright. If the information can be re-worded it can be re-inserted; it shouldn't read like a news report drawn from a newspaper.Chidom talk  23:39, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Move?

[edit]

Unless there's more information about the GayVN Awards themselves, shouldn't this be named List of GayVN Awards winners? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 04:27, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

GayVN and GayVN Awards do seem identical, I'm not expert though which is more correct although we should probably follow the lead of whatever they do with the Oscars and Emmys as far as naming conventions. I do think however that GayVN Magazine should be built as that article is needed. Perhaps it used to exist and well-meaning merging has erased all traces of it but to me an article aboutt he magazien and an article about the awards would make sense. Reliable sources needed

[edit]

There are no citations and no reliable sources here. 2 of the external links are to gay porn sites, and the Gay pride article is written by the apparently defunct gaymonkey site. Smallbones (talk) 13:07, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
