Meredith is an Anglicized Welsh name; Meredydd being the original. Does anyone know of this Welsh connection please? Diolch yn fawr. Llywelyn2000 (talk) 05:05, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It is mentioned on The Lark Ascending page that Vaughan Williams's composition was inspired by George Meredith's 122-line poem of the same name about the skylark. I'm a bit surprised to not find anything to do with "Skylark" on the George Meredith page. GFHandel.04:54, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I know nothing about George Meredith or "Skylark", so I'll leave it to people who are experts in this area (and I'll get on with my areas of expertise). My observation wasn't a criticism—just a suggestion. GFHandel.18:28, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's pathetic, isn't it? Meanwhile, hundreds of users are working furiously on the Pokemon articles and trying to update the latest trivia about some meaningless television show. I'll try to complete your task in the next week. Viriditas (talk) 07:40, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
