Missing First Reference[edit]

Somehow, the first reference to sculptor Hermon Atkins MacNeil seems to have disappeared. I presume that was a mishap when the image was added, as it would have come just below that. Miss Ivonne (talk) 13:25, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

I just cut this out[edit]

from the Marietta Mural section. The use of the words "our history" alone are probably enough, but the suggestion that this document ranks, "second only to the Constitution of the United States." really needs to be (opinion) referenced.

"The Northwest Ordinance July 13, 1787, in which this invention was embodied, also consecrated the region to freedom both of conscience and of labor. It provided the model for all subsequent territories. As a political document, it ranks in our history second only to the Constitution of the United States."
