Merge with Gloucester Cathedral

This article actually describes the same foundation as Gloucester Cathedral, as the Abbey of St Peter at Gloucester was an earlier incarnation of what is now the cathedral. The abbey was dissolved at the English Reformation and re-invented by Henry VIII as Gloucester Cathedral. I’m proposing therefore to merge the two articles, taking all of the useful material from here and incorporating it in the early history of the cathedral.
