Translating Miljöpartiet de Gröna

Translating "Miljöpartiet de Gröna" to the "Environmental Party the Greens" makes no sense. It's like translating "Folkpartiet Liberalerna" to "The People's Party the Liberals". You can't do that. We don't get to make up new English grammar when translating things. The closest grammatically acceptable way of literally translating this to English is "the Green Environmental Party" (exactly the same format change that is done with Folkpartiet. — Swedishpenguin | Talk 00:48, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Agree that as a literal transation it cannot be "Environmental party the greens" (M.a.o. "Miljöpartiet grönsakerna". Roligt men lite felvisande!) But this also cannot replace their official English party name. The full offical English name of Miljöpartiet de Gröna is "Swedish Green Party", and this is what they use in their own English language material. I've updated the information to use the official name while keeping the information of the (better) literal translation of their Swedish name Max O Ig. (talk) 13:06, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

April 2016 controversies

It is a bit WP:RECENT but there could be some mention of the recent controversies that among other things led to the resignation of Mehmet Kaplan. However, any text on that must mention all the events that have been covered in the news. Sjö (talk) 06:16, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

I trimmed the description of the controversies so as to not put undue weight on the incidents. I also removed islamism from the infobox, there is no evidence that this is an official or unofficial ideology for the party. Anyone that want to readd it needs to supply reliable sources that say that islamism is a Green party ideology. Sjö (talk) 11:43, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
