Copper blood?

[edit]

Hi, in a food-related article it was said that ormers had blood where oxygen bonded with copper, not iron, as in e.g. humans, such that ormers had blue blood. An interesting phenomenon in itself (if true), and perhaps relevant not only for ormers alone, but perhaps all members of the abalone family (if true)?
