Guadalajara, Castilla–La ManchaGuadalajara, Spain – "Spain" is a shorter and (for most people) more meaningful disambiguator than "Castilla–La Mancha". Every topic linked in Guadalajara (disambiguation) in connection to Spain also relates to Castilla–La Mancha, so... "Guadalajara, Spain" is as ambiguous as "Guadalajara, Castilla–La Mancha". The article is probably the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC among those in connection to Spain. Asqueladd (talk) 21:15, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@King of Hearts: I am not aware of such convention. But if "Guadalajara, Castilla–La Mancha" is following some kind of naming convention within wikipedia, then Córdoba, Spain ("Córdoba, Andalusia"?), Toledo, Spain ("Toledo, Castilla–La Mancha"?), Mérida, Spain ("Mérida, Extremadura"?), Jaén, Spain ("Jaén, Andalusia"?), Santander, Spain ("Santander, Cantabria"?) and Cartagena, Spain ("Cartagena, Region of Murcia"?) are not following it. "Guadalajara, Castilla–La Mancha" looks like the outlier, if we compare this case to the most known cases of placename ambiguity of Spanish geographical names (for cities).--Asqueladd (talk) 18:17, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Investigate "river of poo"

[edit]

Kindly investigate creidibility of the claim that the Arabic origin of the word conveys "river of poo" (lajara) due to presence of muddy river then. 2A00:5400:F007:F777:C053:AE8D:6504:1221 (talk) 06:05, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
