Personal best

In January, 1991, Tamás Darnyi swam 400m medley in the new world record time of 4:12.36. So to think that Gunnar Larsson swam the same distance in 4:12.97, as early as at the olympic games 1972 sounds highly unlikely. According to this page, he swam the distance in the time of 4:31.98 - a much more plausible time.
