Expansion

[edit]

I have obtained permission to copy a Halcyon Sales Brochure image and have added it to the top of this article. Proper citing of source and forwarding of permission email has been carried out to the best of my understanding.

I have greatly expanded this article over the past few days, and I am using myself as the primary source for this information, as I was one of several employees working on this project at the time, and in conversations with Rick Dyer (RDI Video Systems President), Tim DeAndrea, the Engineering Director, and veteran co-workers, I learned these facts during the course of my employ.

As with primary eye-witness testimony, it fades with age. It has been over 20 years now, and I do not have the materials of the time, nor have maintained relationship with employees from RDI Video Systems.

I am in process of attempting to re-establish communications with at least 1 other RDI Video Systems worker who may be able to help corroborate and/or correct some of my facts.

Until I obtain second source confirmations, I have no published facts (website or books) to draw upon. I felt that despite not having literate, college-level, well-documented knowledge on this subject, it was superior to enter facts as I knew them, as opposed to leaving this category bereft of information such as it was when I first read it.

If I have misconstrued the invitation to expand this article, and this regards the imperative to always have sources cited, I ask that you better screen the people whom you ask to edit these pages, as I'm sure I am not the first, nor will be the last, pedestrian editor of these pages.

Faliure?

[edit]

There is nothing on this article to suggest this console is a faliure, however being it retailed for $2500, only had 2 games and the company that made the console went bust shortly after making it, would'ent it be common sence to sugest it was a faliure? Regardless, as a wikipedian it is my duty to check these things on talk pages before I edit articles. mcjakeqcool Mcjakeqcool (talk) 15:42, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional information

[edit]

Ben Heck did a repair on a Halcyon system. Maybe there is some more information to be found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCFpYHY3VFE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.201.54.53 (talk) 22:45, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The games were released but not the system?

[edit]

This seems extremely unlikely to say the least.
