Subsidence?

[edit]

The introduction says that the evidence for subsidence (leading to the demolition) was “inadequate”, but the article states it as fact and attributes it to coal-mining - which is correct please? Jock123 (talk) 17:00, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GWTW?

[edit]

I removed a section stating that some unidentified persons thought that the stair rail from the mansion was used in the movie Gone With the Wind.. The one tiny image of a carved rail showed it curved, and the one shown from GWTW was straight. Not enough detail was visible in the Scran image to make any meaningful comparison, and even if it looked similar it would be original research. This is too speculative. If it can be verified via reliable sources then it can be re-added. Edison (talk) 00:54, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hunting lodge location?

[edit]

I just added a photo of the hunting lodge to the article. Where in the park is this building? Anyone know? I can't find it on Google earth. I'll add its coordinates to the article if anyone can find it. --RThompson82 (talk) 07:16, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

55.45'44.09" N, 4.00'55.15" W according to Google earth! Hope that helps. Brendandh (talk) 07:33, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
