Headline text[edit]

Hickok45's name is universally known across the internet, many many websites and sources make mention of it. A Google search turns up pages nd pages of hits for Greg Kinman and Hickok45. He has also referred to himself as Greg in his videos, and refers to his son as John in his videos. So, not sure what the problem is with the names being repeatedly deleted. Per WP:ELBURDEN, "Disputed links should normally be excluded by default unless and until there is a consensus to include them". Please do not restored disputed links until this happens. You can open a discussion at WP:ELN to accomplish that. However, you should also be aware that since the links discuss a living person, more stringent rules about linking apply. This page should not be deleted. It's perfectly informative for a youtube channel that is not focused on self-promotion. Hickok does not actively promote products. On occasion, a company will loan him a firearm, and he will mention their names only once, and for just a moment. He has no Youtube annotations with links to purchasing sites. Most importantly, his videos (often 30+ minutes in length) are as incredibly in-depth, as many Wikipedia articles are. The man (a former school teacher!) is only interested in informing us about all kinds of firearms, including their history, safety, and comparisons to other firearms. This is a fundamental misunderstanding of PROMOTION. By your interpretation, Wikipedia could have no articles on anything or anyone who earns money in any fashion: no companies, no newspapers, no books, no authors, etc. Will you share with us where you found the information regarding his supposed income from Youtube? 86k and 1m is quite a wide range and sounds highly dubious. This link shows an example of his profits not that it matters how much he makes it's that Wikipedia is not to be used as a vessel to promote a YouTube channel. There's nothing encyclopedic in the article other than another YouTuber talking about stuff that his following wants to hear WP:N. Socialblade.com is not a reliable source. It seems clear to me you're intent on undermining this article, though why exactly I'm not sure. The laundry list of rationales you've provided so far don't really hold any water and you seem to be grasping at anything you can find. The article is not promotional, the subject is notable, and there's nothing "directory" about this. Period. Complete nonsense from Wikiinfomation. Hickock has millions of subscribers and his videos consistently get millions of views. The purpose of an encyclopedia is to collect knowledge on notable things.
